He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Professional, Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certified Estate PlannerTM, (CEP®) and holds the Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC) designation. J.T. is currently completing course work for the Enrolled Agent designation.

J.T. is registered with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. (member FINRA/SIPC) as a General Securities Registered Representative (Series 7). He also holds Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law exam) and Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam) registrations for Investment Advisor Representatives and is a Registered Principal (Series 24).
J.T. is a member of the Financial Planning Association at both the local and national levels and provides “nontraditional relationship” continuing education “anti-crisis” presentations for chapters around the country as well as their national conferences.
J.T. does public speaking for national audiences comprised of CPA’s, Attorneys and other financial professionals in hopes of providing education on the special considerations associated with nontraditional relationships.
J.T. is on the Board of Directors for PridePlanners®, an organization that provides bi-annual National Conferences focusing on the financial, tax, insurance and estate planning needs of gay, lesbian and unmarried couples. He is a Board Member Of The Gamma Mu Foundation, an organization responsible for endowing financial grants to organizations & individuals within the gay community. JT is also a Board Member & The Chair Of The GMCW Audit Committee, an organization which promotes a culture of diversity through musical and performance excellence.
Born in North Carolina, J.T. grew up in Rockville, Maryland, where he attenede Thomas S. Wootton High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University.
